Value tile in Headline widget shows variable metric with period/hierarchy comparisons, response display, color/number formatting and options.
The Value tile allows you to designate the variable that will appear as a metric in your Headline widget. This metric can then be paired with period and hierarchy comparisons for more in-depth analysis.
On the value tile, you can specify the font size, color, and number formatters and apply the Infographic appearance. If the provided formatters do not meet your needs, visit the formatters library and create a new one.
Adding a Value Tile
Click the edit widget icon next to your Headline Widget.
Click the plus + icon next to Tiles.
Choose "Add Value" from the drop-down.
Selecting a Value
1. Click the Expression Builder icon.
Note
If the Expression Builder icon appears grayed out, ensure that the Value field is empty.
2. Choose the Source, Table or Measure, Variable, and Function.
Appearance Settings
Choose a Color Format from the drop-down.
Choose a Number Format from the drop-down (default: One Decimal).
Specify a Font Size by entering a number in the field.
Decide whether to apply the Infographic Appearance by clicking the relevant button.
Note
New Formatters can be defined in the Formatters section.

To compare metrics in the Headline Widget, you can make use of period and hierarchy basis comparisons, which also offer the option to display the Number of Responses for additional context. These options are available within the Value tile.

Click the Show Number of Responses button to display “Responses: X” in your Headline Widget (see: above).
Period Comparison
1. Click the plus + icon next to Period Comparison to display this in your Headline Widget (see above).
2. Select a range:
• Current period
• Previous period
• Year-over-Year
• Include all Data
• Days
• Weeks
• Months
• Quarters
• Years
3. Select a Color Format.
Hierarchy comparison
1. Click the Plus button next to Hierarchy Comparison to display this in your Headline Widget (see
above).
2. Select a Hierarchy.
3. Select a Node:
• Include all data: Show data for all levels regardless of the selected hierarchy node.
• Parents from the root: 1+ Levels below the top node level.
• Parents above the current node: 1+ Levels above the selected node level.
• Top parent node: The top parent node of the hierarchy.1
• Children: Sublevels of the default node from which the user has access.
• Reporting base: The level that corresponds to the users’ assigned hierarchy level.
