Palette formatters let you set a standard set of colors that can be used in charts and maps. They can be created and edited in the Formatters panel.
Palette formatters allow you to define a standard collection of colors. Palette formatters can be used in the following widgets:
Chart
Response Rate
Map
Scatter Chart
Headline widget (with chart tile)
Note
Studio provides a default color palette for new reports. You may choose to override this with your own brand colors as default. To do this, click the ellipsis and select Override
Creating a New Palette Formatter
To create a new palette formatter:
Click the Formatters icon in the Sidebar to open the Formatters panel.
Click the Palette tab to open the list of existing palette formatters.
Click the plus + icon in the Formatters header bar to create the formatter.
Specify a name for the palette (note that the name cannot include spaces).
Click on the color sample circle to open the color picker, select the first color or enter the appropriate hex value directly.
Click the + Color button to add more colors to the palette.
Importing Categories
You can import categories to your palette; this allows you to pick a question (variable) and assign certain colors to categories within it.
Click the Import Categories button.
Select a Question by clicking inside the "Select a Question" field, or by clicking the Expression Builder icon .
Click the Done button when you have made your selections.
