If you want to create a reusable reporting template in Forsta Studio, you can set it up as part of a Program. This approach lets you easily apply the same reporting structure across multiple surveys.
1: Create a Program
Start by creating and publishing a new program in Studio.
In Studio, open the New Report drop-down menu.
Select New Program from the list.
Configure and publish the program.
2: Create a Template
Next, create a new reporting template and link it to your program.
In Studio, create a New Reporting Template (as shown above).
When prompted, choose your Program from the list.
Publish the template.
Once published, an item will appear in the menu near “Generate/Open Fieldwork Report.”
3: Modify Existing Reports (Optional)
If you want your template to resemble an existing fieldwork report, you can copy its CDL (Content Definition Language) configuration:
Generate and open the existing fieldwork report.
Copy the CDL from the editor.
Paste it into your new template.
Make any necessary changes and publish the updated template.
4. Apply the Template to Other Surveys
To use your new template for additional surveys:
Add those surveys to the hub where the program was created.
The template will automatically appear in the “Generate/Open Fieldwork Report” menu for those surveys.
This allows you to maintain consistent reporting structures across multiple projects.
