Use the Filters panel to manage and edit filters in your report. Filters are only active for the current session and can be temporarily deactivated.
Once filters are added to a report, the report will display a Filters icon in the upper-left corner. By clicking on this icon, the Filters panel will appear on the left side of the report, allowing the user to manage and edit the applied filters
The filters panel lists all the filters that are configured in the report.
Applying Filters
To apply a filter to your report, follow these steps:
At the top of the report page, click the filter icon
Next to the filter you want to apply, click the > icon.
Select the criteria you wish to filter the data by.
When you have completed your selections, click the Apply button towards the bottom of the Filter panel.
If you wish to temporarily deactivate a filter, you can do so by hovering over the activated filter in the Filters panel and selecting the Deactivate icon. This allows you to reactivate the filter later without having to rebuild it.
When a user applies a filter to a report, it will be active only for the current session. If the session is closed for any reason (the user closes the report, the session times out etc.) then the filter will be removed from the report.
Clearing Filters
To clear one filter, in the Filters panel hover over the activated filter and select the Clear filter icon.
To clear all the filters, click Clear All towards the lower-right corner of the Filters panel.
Selecting All Filters
The “Select All” option in multi-select filters allows you to select all available categories at once. This is useful when you want to to deselect only a few items from a long list, streamlining the selection process.
Ignoring Filters on a Widget Level
You may want to apply a filter to the entire report but exclude certain widgets from the filter.
To ignore filters on a widget level, follow these steps:
Locate the widget you want to do this for and click the Edit widget icon.
Click the word "Filter" to open the filter section.
Beneath the "Ignore Filters" header, select which filters to ignore from the drop-down.
