Customize report layout with Layout setting. Use fixed, centered configurations or full-width. Change background color/image. Override at page level.
Theme
The first option beneath the Layout header is "Theme". Here you can switch between the "Classic", "Modern" and "Clean" themes.
Modern theme: The modern theme is automatically set as the default for new reports, however you can revert to the classic theme via Layout options. The modern theme features a default palette that is color blind safe and more accessible. The modern theme includes both a categorical palette and a semantic palette, which is designed to be complementary to existing palettes. Additionally, the Key Drivers widget will utilize colors from the new extended semantic palette.
Note: If changes are not visible when switching to the modern theme, check for any custom palettes or formatters that might be in use.
Classic theme: The classic theme is the old reporting theme. It is still available to choose from, however it will no longer receive updates.
Clean theme: The clean theme builds on the Modern theme’s enhancements, adding expanded theming capabilities with control over more than 100 design properties. These include chart visuals (like line types or bar widths), fonts, shading, gradients, padding, table borders, alignment, and color palettes. The widget variant feature provides options at the widget level—Default, Subtle, and Emphasized—allowing greater flexibility in highlighting key data or reducing focus on less critical elements. Key benefits of the Clean theme include a refined, professional look that has been created by UX experts, greater flexibility through widget-level control, and a foundation for faster theme development.
Report Layout
The Layout setting controls the horizontal arrangement of widgets within a report. By default the layout will use the full width of the available space, and will stretch to 100% of the available screen space. It is also possible to configure the layout to adhere to a fixed, centered configuration.
The actual layout of the widgets within the report is determined by the widget sizes and the combinations of widgets in the row. The table below shows how each column-centered option will present combinations of widgets of different sizes.
| Layout option | # of widgets of size small | # of widgets of size medium | # of widgets of size large |
|---|---|---|---|
