CDL Editor panel creates reports with editing and navigation areas. Toolbar manipulates the panel, undo changes with Ctrl+z.
The Report Designer builds and defines the report in the CDL (Common Definition Language) Editor panel, which is located in the left part of the Report Editor page.
The Editor panel is split into two areas.

The report definition editing area, where you construct the report, is the wider panel located on the left. The font in which the code is presented is legible and the identification of different code types and entities is made simpler through the use of color-coding.
The navigation panel, located on the right, displays a compact version of the code to allow quick and effortless navigation through the report definition. To highlight the block of code currently shown in the editing area, place your mouse cursor within the navigation panel. You can scroll or drag the highlighted area to move to the desired block of code.
The toolbar across the top of the editor panel contains tools for manipulating the panel.

The right arrow collapses all the nodes in the editing panel.
The down arrow expands all the nodes in the editing panel after they have been collapsed.
The detach icon allows you to detach the editing panel from the Studio window and move it to another location on your screen. ( This feature is still under development.)
The minimize icon minimizes the CDL Editor panel, allowing the entire Studio window to display the preview. Clicking the "Editor" tab reopens the panel.
The maximize icon maximizes the editor panel to fill the entire Studio window, providing more space for report building. Clicking the "Dashboard" tab reduces the editor panel to its normal size and displays the preview panel.
Note
You can adjust the size of the editing panel by dragging the right edge to the desired width..
To undo your last change, press Ctrl+z on your keyboard. You can repeat the action to undo earlier changes back to the beginning of your current session.
