Display KPIs with metric, target comparison, and trend in a half-height view. Ideal for compact dashboards and executive summaries.
1: Overview
The Compact Widget displays key performance metrics in a streamlined layout that helps users understand trends at a glance. It supports quick comparisons to targets or benchmarks and includes a trend chart.
Use the Compact Widget to highlight the performance of your most important metrics. Each widget includes a metric value, optional comparison to a static or dynamic target, and a trend chart visualizing performance over time.
2: Adding a Compact Widget
To add a Compact Widget:
Go to your report or dashboard canvas.
Open the Widget Library.
Drag the Compact Widget onto your dashboard.
The widget is designed to align best when placed in a horizontal row with other Compact Widgets.
3: Creating and Configuring a Compact Widget
After adding a compact widget to your dashboard, follow these steps to set it up:
Under Value, select your metric using a function like average(numeric:<VariableName>).
Choose a number format (e.g., two decimals).
Apply color formatting such as Green–Red Numeric.
Add your Label and Sublabel for clarity.
Enter a static number (e.g., 10), or reference another variable.
Choose comparison text and number formatting styles.
The series will automatically use your selected metric.
Choose a chart type (area, line, or bar).
Update the category (e.g., interview_start) and define the number of data points, start date, and end date.
4: Additional Considerations
Widgets are designed to fit side-by-side in rows for maximum visual impact.
Stacking vertically is not supported at this time.
The widget’s height is approximately half that of a standard widget, making it ideal for mobile-friendly views or executive dashboards.
